I was wondering why I feel as bad as I do that my current girlfriend slept with a black man in the past . I don't get it! I feel fine with black people (maybe I don't sub conciously), but can't get it out of my head. Whats up with that feeling? I would like some helpful insight _________________ I want to get better at understanding, but have my own thoughts to share |

peace Mr X,welcome to the site!!
This is an interesting question and i'ma try to answer it to the best of my ability.
Im not sure how it is in Massachusetts, but out here in Toronto dating out side of your race is common even if in the end, you end up marrying your own race. I've had conversations with ppls who express the same concerns as you but its because after they broke up with their ex-girl the ex is now dating a black guy. Then insecurities come out and they question if they turned their ex off of white guys almost like saying oh...I turned my ex into lesbian, and I guess its seen as a challenge/threat to his manhood and i guess they feel that they have failed their "white woman" by not fulfilling her "needs" and then sprinkle the saying "once you go black then you dont go back", and now fear comes into play. In your case, I think thats where it comes from, but if ya'll are truly in love then that shit wont matter. I personally think there is too much focus on race when it comes to relationship but this division stems from slavery and what you've been told for generations NOT to have is always attractive.
hope my two cents helped! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/logikalethix
