"EDUCATION NOT INCARCERATION"
Black youth rally at QUEEN'S PARK (and yes! ALL ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS ARE WELCOME!!)
On Tuesday, May 15 at 2:00 pm, join hundreds of Black students, teachers, activists, community workers and concerned citizens for a demonstration in front of Queen's Park to present a BLACK YOUTH AGENDA. The purpose will be to set the tone for the upcoming provincial elections.
1) Repealing the Ontario Safe Schools Act;
2) TRUTH in education - changing the K-12 curriculum;
3) Public endorsement of the need for Black-focused schools; and
4) Using the $250 million allocated for the Brampton super jail towards diversion, open custody, rehabilitation and alternative schooling/training programs
